Casanis Bistrot was founded in 2003 with the goal of creating an intimate, cozy restaurant full of personality in the heart of Marbella’s Old Town. More than two decades later, we continue to welcome our guests on Calle Ancha, one of the city’s most charming streets.

We are the origin of Casanis Group and preserve the essence with which this project began: honest cuisine, warm service, and an atmosphere that invites you to enjoy without rushing. Our bistro combines French tradition, Belgian influences, and Mediterranean products to offer a warm and authentic experience.

We want every visit to feel special, whether you come for dinner as a couple, share a table with friends, or celebrate an important occasion.

A French Bistro with a Marbella Soul

Our culinary offerings stem from traditional French and Belgian cuisine. We bring back recognizable recipes and interpret them with a contemporary touch, without losing the flavors that form part of their identity.

The kitchen is led by Fabián Cangas, executive chef and co-owner of Casanis Group. Trained in Argentina and Spain, he has spent over twenty years building his career in Marbella. His philosophy is based on respect for the product, simplicity, and flavor.

On our menu, classic dishes, seasonal produce, and creations designed for sharing coexist. Among our most iconic offerings are Burgundy snails, steak tartare, and beef Wellington when available. These dishes reflect our understanding of cuisine: technique, ingredients, and recognizable flavors presented with personality.

We do not aim to unnecessarily transform every ingredient. We prefer to work with care, apply the right technique, and allow the product to be the true highlight.

A Corner with Its Own Personality

Casanis Bistrot occupies a house with the characteristic charm of Marbella’s Old Town. Its architecture, distinct rooms, and decorative details help create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

Murals by artist Aldo Gigli lend a special character to the interior. His artwork sits alongside a warm decor that blends tradition, creativity, and unexpected elements.

One of our most beloved spaces is the bougainvillea courtyard. It is an especially pleasant spot to enjoy an outdoor dinner, surrounded by greenery and away from the hustle and bustle of busier streets.

In this courtyard, the light, plants, and Old Town atmosphere create a feeling that is hard to find anywhere else. It is perfect for a romantic dinner, an intimate celebration, or a quiet night with friends.

A Warm and Unhurried Experience

For us, the experience does not depend solely on what we serve on the plate. The welcome, service, and attention to every table are just as important.

We have a carefully curated wine selection to complement our cuisine. From French references to Spanish and international labels, we seek options capable of enhancing the flavors of every dish.

The post-meal conversation (sobremesa) is also part of the Casanis experience. After the main courses, you can enjoy one of our homemade desserts, finish with a drink, or simply continue chatting in a relaxed atmosphere.
